User agents are indications of technical data about the device and software of your system. User agents control search engine robots using the robot.txt file. We can identify the browser name, browser version and operating system information through user agent string.

We can get information about the user agent via The “User-Agent” header field. Using this info, the server identifies the scope of reported interoperability problems.

To change user agent in Google Chrome, follow these step:

Step 1: Open Google Chrome Browser and click “Customize and control Google Chrome” menu (You will find this option in the three .dot icon right header corner)

Step 2: Click on Developer tools under “more tools” menu. You can use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Shift+I” to open this menu.

Step 3: Click on “Customize and control DevTools” (three .dot icon) and then click the “Network conditions” menu under “More Tools”.

Step 4: You will find the user agent “Select automatically” by default. You can change this using a custom user agent.
