National Fruit of Afghanistan

National fruit of Afghanistan is Pomegranate. These are a major fruit crop in many provinces in Afghanistan such as Kandahar, Helmand, Wardak, Ghazni, Paktia, Farah, Kapisa and Balkh. It is the great economic source of the livelihoods of thousands of people. The scientific name of pomegranate is Punica granatum and it grows between 5 and 10 m (16 and 33 ft) tall.
