National Flag of Tuvalu was adopted on April 11, 1997. Vione Natano designed this Tuvalu’s national flag.

  • Design: A light blue field with British Union Jack top left and nine yellow five-pointed stars centre right.

What do the Colours of the Tuvalu’s flag stand for?

  • Blue: Ensign as a state ensign.
  • Flag: was similar to that of nearby Fiji.
  • Light Blue: background contained nine
  • Yellow: stars representing the atolls and islands of the country.
  • Union Jack: canton was symbolic of Tuvalu’s links with Britain and other Commonwealth members.
