The Rafflesia arnoldii is the biggest flower in the world. In 1993, it was officially recognized as a national “rare flower” in Presidential Decree.
This rare flower is also called corpse lily or stinking corpse lily and is found in the rainforests of Indonesia.
Rafflesia is a parasitic and vascular plant without leaves, stems or even roots. It can grow to a diameter of around 3.3 feet and maroon or magenta color buds typically about 30 cm wide.
